Tuition gap for Grace's final year of nursing school
Grace is a first-generation student one year from her RN at SUNY Broome. A reduction in her father's work hours left a $7,800 tuition gap for her final two semesters. The financial-aid office can confirm enrollment and the outstanding balance; funds will be paid directly to the bursar.

Rebuild Grace Chapel's fellowship hall after the flood
June flash flooding ruined the kitchen and two restrooms in the fellowship hall at our 200-family church in Poughkeepsie. The board approved a repair plan and we have a $26,400 bid from Hudson Valley Plumbing; insurance is covering the difference above this campaign's goal. Plans and the bid are available to any donor on request.

Winter heating fund for resettled refugee families in Utica
Eleven resettled families on Utica's east side share aging furnaces that failed inspection this fall. Working with the Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees, we have a written quote from Bartell Heating to repair or replace six units before the first freeze. After-school tutoring room for the Al-Huda weekend school
Our weekend school in Hamtramck has grown from 40 to 110 students and we have run out of space. We are raising funds to convert the unused back hall into two tutoring rooms: $6,200 for drywall and flooring (quote from Cedar Contracting attached on request), $3,800 for 30 desks and chairs, and $2,000 for whiteboards, books, and supplies. Our masjid board reviews all spending monthly and we will publish receipts. Classes are taught by five volunteer teachers who have worked with these students for three years.
